Re: found a DZ302 w/drivetrain

put it on a frame, under glass, and never let it go. or ill buy it from you for a dollar, and do it myself. i would sell the whole thing for around 7-10k, and ONLY to someone doing a full on restoration, or building an accurate clone of a true DZ302. thats my two cents. thats a very rare, and historical drivetrain you have there. it would pain me to see it split up, or molested by someone who would bore it out and throw a stroker in it.

Re: found a DZ302 w/drivetrain

Wow, you really think 7-10 grand?

I know the DZ302 is a nice motor but didn't they make over 20,000 of them.

I'm guessing the fact that this is a complete drivetrain is why it might be worth so much?

Thanks for the imput guy's

Re: found a DZ302 w/drivetrain

its the historical value of it more than anything else, its the rep and notoriety of it. i dont suppose its a crossram setup is it???? dual quads, set up on a criss-cross intake. if so, its probly worth more. but yeah, ive seen the engine alone sell for 5 grand. thats where the originality of it comes in, so the rest only has value so long as its what originally came with that engine, so its really not that expencive, nothing special bout the drivetrain, just the engine.
