Disco potato

Im gonna be saving up ove rthis summer, for a new turbo. I am very interested in the Garret GT28RS "disco potato" turbo. Anyone heard anything on this? Ive read that garret turbos are very reliable (probably why they are so expensive). And finally, can someone give me a rough estimate of how much the turbo itself SHOULD cost so that i dont get dicked over by the retailers.

oh and please leave all your suggestions for which turbos you think is good for me to get. I'm looking for responsiveness and durability. Gonna raise boost to about 20psi. Thanks

hey man i wouldnt judge a book by its apearance. That agresively named turbo can put down anywhere from 260-310 according to Garret's brochure (dun know how true that is tho), and almost none of the lag. Ive read that these turbos made by garret is run through a series of tests so strenuous that the cars break down before the turbo (once again, this might be the marketing trickery from the company). In three car mags including the latest sportscompact have all rated this turbo to be one of the best products of this year and is perfect for a 2.0's. So even if you dont like the name, appreciate what this potato can do for you. And besides I love potatos!!!!! They are delicious. They are a MAN's vegetable. You got something against my potato?!?!?!?!?! How dare you! lol

oh yea BTW nice super 7 dan, i was checking it out on your site the other day. Damn, i haven't seen one of those things since this japanese anime i watched about 2 years ago called errr ex-driver i think. The main character drives a super 7 white i believe and the bad guy drives a black one. You should check it out, its always good to see your car in movies or animation. Even tho the story sucks. heh
