I need some good intel

Hey all my honda motor gods I need some serious help in buying the right car. I have a 92 accord ex that I bought here in guam. It gets me around but its starting to die. The cost it would take to fix it is not much but check this out. I have a friend in japan that can send me the same year make and model for under a grand which is about the same as it would cost to fix my car. I like the way this sounds cause I would transfer everything from the jspec to the accord. I want to know what engine came in the 92 accord in japan. Is it the non vtec h22 I know that in 94 on they got the vtec but I just want to know more details of what I can expect if I get a 90-93 accord from japan. I can't drive the RHD here in guam cause it will be imported under parts only so I can't register it. Thanks for all the help.

Re: I need some good intel

well, from what I've been able to find, which wasn't much, the 90-93 accord 2.0si with the F20A engine came with 150hp and 137tq. I'm not sure if that's all they made for JDM accords during those years or not, but that's the only jdm accord engine specs I could find for that year of car. If they also had our normal DX, LX, and EX, then I would imagine the hp would be somewhere in the range of ours at 125, 130 and 140.

**Edit**
Actually, I found more info, but this doesn't say what engine goes with which trim for the JDM cars, but you could find out which engine it is and then know.

1990-1993 Honda Accord Gen 4.

Japanese trim levels:
2.0Si, 2.0EXL-i, 2.0EXL, EXL, EX, EF, Coupe 2.0Si,
Exclusive 2.0Si, Wagon 2.2i

USA trim levels:
DX, LX, EX, SE, Anniv. Ed.

Engines for 90-93 Accord:

Engine HP Valvetrain Fuel liters

F20A 150@6100 DOHC 16V PGM-FI 2.0
F20A 130@5500 SOHC 16V PGM-FI 2.0
F20A 110@6000 SOHC 16V CARB 2.0
F18A 105@5000 SOHC 16V CARB 1.8
F22A4 130@5200 SOHC 16V PGM-FI 2.2
F22A6 140@5600 SOHC 16V PGM-FI 2.2
F22A1 125@5200 SOHC 16V PGM-FI 2.2

Re: I need some good intel

Thanks that reallly helps. Where did you find this info? I guess I'll look for the f20 a DOHC Accord. Now all i need to do is find the trim level for that engine. Do you know if this would be a complete bolt in? Should be though right? any other info?
