An SL is naturally aspirated with 222 horse, and it's front wheel drive. A VR4 has a 320 horse twin turbo motor, and it's all wheel drive.

They look about the same and have the same creature comforts, but they are quite different under the hood and on the sticker. The SL is a 222hp FWD. The VR4 is 320hp (94+) AWD AWS (91-96) and ran about 15K more then the SL.

http://www.team3s.com/FAQ-Specs1.htm will give you a rundown on the specs
