voltage regulator?

hey guys, well, my trucks running fine except now it seems like my regulator might be out on me, because my alternator needle has just started dancing wildly......it doesnt dip incredibly much but still enough to warrant a fix by me....it usually runs around 14.5...and now it dances between 14.5 and about 13.6-7...thats a whole volt void...lol...it didnt do this when i first got it, a week or so after though, it had a breif stint like that, but then came back normal and ran like it never missed a beat.

i'm thinking its a voltage regulator somewhere, is there an external one specific to the alternator or am i just gonna end up replacing the whole thing?

tj

Re: voltage regulator?

Check for loose wires, regulators have been internal for quite some time
