Hi everyone,
I have a '92 grand marquis with a V8 engine and a broken odometer. Does anyone have a ballpark idea of how many miles to the gallon I get? I know it's hard to be exact, I'm just looking for a rough estimate. Thx |

Re: 92 grand marquis miles/gallon
Our '92 would get 16-18 city and 23-25 highway.

Re: 92 grand marquis miles/gallon
Just get gas/reset your trip odometer every time it hits 200 miles. That way even if you're hammering it you won't run out.

if it has dual exhaust the gas mileage is worse. 19 miles per gallon combination of mostly highway and small town.
I use to have a 93 MGM LS and I got 22 miles per gallon avg., town and highway |

Re: 92 grand marquis miles/gallon
Supposedly a freer flowing exhaust should get better mileage. But once you get duals you may be more likely to give it more gas and enjoy the increased power.
![]() MPG, my '93 4.6L got 18-20 in town, and usually about 25 on the highway, and had duals. My '86 5.0L got 22 hwy before I put taller tires on it, then I never saw above 18mpg again.
