radio (probably fuse)
I have a 1992 jetta. I installed a kenwood radio/cd deck 2 months ago. the system worked fine until last night. the deck doesn't seem to have any power. i had the deck checked by the store, it is fine. i found the fuse box but there are 21 fuses. any idea which fuse is for the radio or how i can locate the correct fuse?
thanks! |

Re: radio (probably fuse)
My info says it's on fuse 22, are you sure you only have 21? On some of the later models there is a hidden fuse holder that powers the radio & lighter above the main fuse panel.

Re: radio (probably fuse)
we counted and there are 21 however, we will search for a "hidden" fuse holder above the fuse panel! the jetta is a 92. thanks for your information, we will give it a try!!!

Re: radio (probably fuse)
Use a test light or multimeter to verify there is 12V at the fuse & radio, power to fuse comes through ignition switch. If so, check the brown wire is grounded, connects to ground near fuse panel
