Hello, Ive recently bought an Australian 96 Civic CX Hatch it has a d16y4 non-vtec. I am getting new hi-flow headers, fatter exhaust system, a new pod air intake plus whiteline suspension & swaybars.. I am trying to keep it to a sleeper as much as possible and to a tight budget but with as much grunt and handling as possible. Is there any other budget performance ideas which can be done? If anyone can give me some direction it would be great! Was also thinking of stokeing the engine or better to go with forced induction money wize??

Forced induction most definitely. Stroking would cost you about the same as F/I would just with the stroke kit alone. Then add in ontop of that sleeving the cylinder walls (another $1500-$2000 USD) and any other strengthening you may have to do.
