Hell YEAH! I totally love it. This is exactly what this forum needs more of. I forgot if you scratchbuilt the cage. If so, could you pm some reference pics, if there is any.

Re: finished: promod f40
I love those drag oddities, like that Nissan Skyline R33 Promod someone did in an old issue of SAE. I plan to build up a pro street using Revells 77 BMW 320 Tuner kit

Re: finished: promod f40
Awesome. I have followed the build of it very closely and have been amazed at the detail and effort that has gone into this project.
Would have liked to see the front wheels tucked up higher in the guards to give it more of a 'funnycar" look...but thats only a minor thing. Great stuff !!

Re: finished: promod f40
glad you guys like it!, i had a lot of fun building it!
prostreet, i have a butt load of ref. pics c.chickens, the body was a tamiya f40, i removed a scale foot from the front end, cut off front end, closed up rear deck lid, cut off the stock spoiler and made the "wing" it has now out of flat stock evergreen. p-man, i know what you are saying, i thought i had the stance right, but somewhere along the way the front end jumped up 6 scale inches, did not notice it until i was building/installing front coil overs, that is y the front coil overs look like they are bottomed out..but that was not enuff to get the stanc right... better luck next time. ![]() thanx again guys! |

I've followed this closely too and think the finished piece is awesome.
My only thing is about the wheels again in that the rears would foul with the covers when they grew as the car went down the strip. Again, very minor but I would have given the rears more clearance. Great work, can't wait to see more from you in the future.
