Recovery/Tow Question
I have a '99 with std tow hitch/package.
My question is: Would there be any problem if a I used the rear hitch for towing/recovering other cars out of the ditch. I want to use one of those removeable tow hooks/D-shackles that you put into the rear hitch reciever. I'm concerned whether the standard hitch is secure enough to prevent damage to the frame, etc when I'm pulling cars from the ditch at an angle (e.g. 45 degrees off the rear). I don't know much about the Suburban frame. And I'm just talking about pulling cars, SUVs, etc out of the ditch. Any thoughts? |
