Re: camaro rs - temperature range?????

your ok, i know that they changed engines in 97 but i think that the fan should still turn on at 210-215. the temp should go down a little when the car starts moving, if it doesnt you might want to change your coolant and get the correct ration, could try cleaning out the radiator also...

Re: camaro rs - temperature range?????

my 89 RS runs around there, my 89 IROC is a bit lower, but it might have an aftermarket thermostat in it.

Re: camaro rs - temperature range?????

My '96 RS with stock temp thermostat stays somewhere above 185, but never reaches 210 unless it sitting idling for a while, and not even in cold winter. I had a 180 thermostat but had to put back the 195 because it was too cold for the winter. And there is no engine difference from 96-97, things changed in 98.
