O2 question

i bought a pair of headers, and i need to weld on an O2 sensor fitting. i was planning on welding this fitting on the collector, but this means lengthening the wire to reach that far. do you guys recommend welding the fitting to the collector, or welding it on one of the primary tubes?

Re: O2 question

if you weld it to the collector than it will be farther away fromt the exhaust ports, theory there is that the further away from the engine you put the o2 sensor the more oxygen there is in the system, and the comp will richen the mix. thats the theory, dont know if it works, maybe one of these guys who knows more than me can say if this is horsecrap or not...

Re: O2 question

collector, its supposed to be as close to the port as possible, but still able to get a reading on every port. so as far up the collector as you can go, without goin up a primary tube. cuz if you go up a primary, you cant read the other ports. so its kinda like your engine would only alter fuel for what that one cylender is doing. rather than the engine as a whole.
