What do you think your first big purchase of the year will be?

I am planning on getting a Flat HDTV along with all the entertainment goodies such as X-box, DVD Player, etc. Not sure which brands are reliable and which ones are not, I guess I'm gonna have to do some research.

For the T.V. I would stick with Panasonic and Toshiba, and for the DVD player I would do the same.

As for me tires will be my first BIG purchace of the year.

Sure, I could handle that. But would you be willing to pay the extra for me?

Thus far, airline tickets well over $300 dollars has claimed the spot as my first big purchase of the year (although, technically they were purchased last year...and they are well worth it. ). As far as looking ahead, I'm not quite sure. Currently I'm looking at the purchase of a car in the near future, while I concentrate on making it financially through next semester.

SVT Contour Base Price (MSRP) $22,365
BMW Z3 M Roadster Base Price (MSRP) $29,995

My mistake, I thought the exact numbers where a lot closer.
