KYB Gas adjust rear shocks...98gt Quad ????

I noticed my drivers side rear was a bit lower than the passenger side the other day and found out my shock was bad...almost 1/2in lower than the other one.
So I called Summit and ordered some KYB gas adjust shocks....the 2 shocks and the Quad shocks......now the quad shocks are full shocks .
My stock quads have an "open boot" at one end, but the KYb's have a sleeve on both ends??? I looks like theres not enough clearance between the 2 to fit without them rubbing together??
Does one end of the KYB quad come off to allow for clearance???

Quad shocks are mounted horizontal. Regular rear shocks are mounted vertial. Maybe you got the wrong ones, cause quad shocks won't make a difference on how your car sits height wise.

Hey highflow, do you run your quads yet? How important are they really. All they do pretty much is to help out the rear shocks with stability right?

Re: KYB Gas adjust rear shocks...98gt Quad ????

I still have quad shocks. They help with axle twist, mainly with the stock bushings and control arms. When I finally get my suspension set up correctly, I'll remove the quads all togther.

Yeah I know that. I am sorry, I mislead you, the quads I got are smaller that the regular shocks. I was just worried about the fact that they are different than my stock quads. I found an install help page at KYB.com.
It says to use the spacers provided in the box (they are there) for my 98year model. I will call the summit tech line today and ask.....
