ok i was just wondering how many people here have a ka24det. If u do plz state what turbo kit ur using and how well u like it or dislike it. Also the year ur car is......thank you.

i know a member here that has the realnissan kit i believe on his 96 240sx and is very happy with it, extreamely happy to be more spific, he is making 230 whp and 230lb, raced and beats 350z.. the kit comes with a t04 turbo and supporting mods, thing you want to add to that kit is a 3' turbo back exhaust, fmic, and upgrader fuel system and you can see an easy 250whp at 8-10 psi.

is that on a stock KA or built.

its on a stock head and stock internals with a simple fuel management unit. =) any more power then that and you should look into some different pistons and while your in there the connecting rods can be changed for saftey. Next thing would be to get some stiffer valve springs titanium (or hardened steel) retainers and keepers, some angle valve job and porting.

no even the valve job isnt need as yet, if my friend spends the money for a better fmic and a tuned ecu he can extreact anotha 25hp or so... so it all aobut the tunning and the supporting mods..

I just want to get around the rebuilding for now. Money is a thang. Is milage really an issue? I mean i would definately replace all of the fuel system and install a fuel controller but as far as internals go, what would be the guestimation limit on where i would want a rebuild before turbo.

depends on how well the enigine was taken care of.Ive heard of some pretty high milage engines running a turbo.Might want to do a compression test, check everything out.
