Re: Auto shifter sticks in park w/brakes pressed
Do you park on a hill without the parking brake on? You have to set the parking brake then put the car in park before you get out of the car. Then when you get in the car start it then out the car in drive/reverse etc, then let the parking brake off. Doing this will greatly increase the ability to place the car in gear from a parked position.

I had a similar problem with my oldsmobile; but it'd only happen occasionally. The only way I could get it out of park was to turn the steering wheel till it locked up and then started the car. You could try that but I doubt it'll really fix your problem; just an idea.

i think there is a cable that runs from your brake pedal to your shifter . when you press the brake it releases your shifter , might check it out and see if your car has one , you might able to adj. it
