grand prix no start

Need help with a no start. My grand prix 3.1 liter turns over good, no fuses blown has 45 lbs pressure on the fuel rail, Has fire to plugs, but wont start, when i squirt fuel directly into the intake it sputters & starts up for a couple seconds. Only thing I can think of is the injectors arent firing. Is there any way to test them without using a noid light, I was told you could hear them clicking when the engine is running, can the clicking be heard by turning the engine over without it starting. Are there sensors which can cause the injectors not to fire. I have also tried another computer, still same result.

it's possible you have bad gas take a fuel sample from the schrader valve and make sure it's good gas. try to light it on fire. this happens more often then you might think. you could try to listen to them click but i'd use a noid light their cheap and fool proof

the feul injectors arent that bad to do.. injectors for my '88 gp were $50 each at autozone and it took me 6 hours to do in the rain. that includes buying new hoses for the ones I broke disconnecting sensors and travelling back and forth between the truck and the car to get the right tools and the occasional break from all the excitement . there's no sense in taking these things to the dealer and paying out the arse for something you can get done for $300 and 6 hours of (inexperienced) work. But I guess you should probly have a diagnostic ran on it. At the shop I get my hader work done at (feul pump, clutch, ect.), they charge $72 for the diagnostic.

I had a similar problem where my car would start except for if I gave it a lot of gas. After starting it would immediatly turn off. It was the fuel pump resistor. The dealer tested mine and replaced it in an hour.
