Screwy fuel gauge
I have a 94 civic cx, and the fuel gauge is very unreliable. I know that with hard braking or accelerating, the needle may move abit, but this will move nearly 1/3rd of the way on the gauge. It will also say that I have X amount of gas left, and I go to fill it, and I have alot more or alot less. Could this be a problem with the gauge, or is it more likely the sensor?
With a only a ten gallon tank, i'd like to get this fixed soon, before I forget to fill it up every week. |

That is a problem i have too, on my 02 civic. My problem is caused by the aftermarket indiglo gauges i put in there and the needle either catches it or rubs on it and never tells me the true level. Do you have those, if so that could very well be the problem

The car is completely stock (except radio) and I put a DX engine in it when I bought it because the pervious owner turned the engine into a giant paper weight. The lady said "It went up to hot, but went right back down"......Oh well, other people's stupidity, my gain.

Re: Screwy fuel gauge
I say screw the gas gauge. I never used it. Just filled up every 250 miles
