Third gen B16A, so it is a 96-98? What car is it going into? Are you changeing it to OBD I?

By the research i have done online at hondatas website I am assuming it is out of 99-00 jdm civic. I say this because it came with a P2T ecu.
The numbers directly below the engine code goes like this 5808*****
It came with obd2b wiring harness on the motor. the harness on the motor is useless, for one because its out of a right side driver and two because i am putting it in a 94 civic which has OBD1. So i am having my obd1 harness placed on the B16A using the obd2 plugs. I have ordered a P30 ecu and now i need to find a OBD1 distributor. As I stated above all of my statements are purely assumption on what model it came out of. Inlinefour was suppose to send me a 93 JDM B16A, but they send me the wrong model and it came with a bad axle. I figured if i paid a little more i would recieve what i wanted and good parts. But the motor itself is in excelent condition. VERY CLEAN!!

Re: OBD1 Dohc Distributor

Just look at the set of number on the front of the head on teh left above the exhaust manifold, the one on the very left of the series is the last two of the year is was produced, should say 99 maybe 00.

And I would say, if you ordered a certian year motor, have the place you bought it from exchange it for what you ordered. I mean if you ordered a red car, and the dealer sent a puprle one to your house, would you PAY to have it repainted? No.

I would do that but i am satisfied with what i recieved. Besides it took them a month to ship the motor, Its already in my car and the only thing left to do is the wiring. But i need to find a obd1 distributor to work with the obd1 wiring harness.

Re: OBD1 Dohc Distributor

I have an OBD II one you could rewire, but that's about all I can offer, OBD I is harder to come by.

I looked at the little circle on the head of my motor and it says 9\6. so does that mean that i have a 96 model B16A?
