Suspension brand

Is dropzone a good brand for suspension or is it a generic brand? I saw on ebay a set of coilovers with matching shocks so i was thinking of getting that. I also saw a set of tokico shocks with matching drop springs. I was leaning towards the tokicos but i really want a coilover suspension for some reason and the dropzone is a lil cheaper so i was thinking of getting dropzone. Im dont kno much brands on suspension so i was wondering if dropzone was generic or not and if it is even a good suspension. I kno tokicos wont fail me but i really seriously want coilovers for more options on height and can set it to how exactly i want it.

When it comes to suspension, you get what you pay for. Go with that statement and make a choice from it.

P.S. Dropzone is basically the most well known generic brand.

Hmm.. well known generic brand huh. Well known in a good or bad way or neutral way? Or in other terms... breaks really really fast, the brand that matches with bilstein, tokico, blah blah, or just been seen or heard by a lot of people cuz it is a brand thats been existing for a while.

Ok, how well would you expect a set of FOUR coilover sleeves to perform that cost LESS than $100? Remember, a SINGLE Koni Yellow shock can retail for up to $150 a piece. D/Z springs are notorious for being very bouncy, and very noisey. Also who knows what the real quality of them is, because quality costs A LOT more than what you'd buy them for. They are well known in a good way because of their marketing of them, but bad because they basically aren't any good. They will blosw out stock struts in no time flat, and they'd probably blow out most aftermarket strust after some time as well I'd imagine. If you get them, I'd suggest you get some Koni Yellows to go with, as those would probably be the only good shock for them, as Konis usually valve their shock unit higher than Tokico or KYB does. I'd suggest you save up some and get some Ground Controls, or Skunk2 coil sleeves if that's the route you want to go. To compare, I dunno what they would compare to really. Probably Arospeed, or Maxspeed coilover sleeves, other not so good "generic like" companies.

If all you want really is the ride height adjustment, but don't care about shock dampening (comfort) adjustment, but are trying to acheive a comfortable rid, I'd suggest getting a set of Tein BASIC Dampeners. They retail for $750, but you can get them for less than that. I've seen $600 before for them. That includes springs that are computer matched to the shocks they also come with.

Ok well I live in The Bahamas and everything is like 5 times more expensive over here so I was wondering if I should get H&R lowering springs for $200 or D/Z adjustables for $167. Im thinkin that the H&R are a better buy but Im a kid in school with no job...For the money that im gonna have to save should I just save for that lil while longer to get the H&R's or just get the D/Z when I get the money.

H&R. They are a well established and looked upon brand, unlike DZ who came to be only recently (the last couple of years) as another company to sell "rice" the masses IMO.

H&R knows their suspension stuff, and in most cases H&R springs can be used on stock shocks without them blowing out as soon as other springs or coilover sleeves would make them blow out at. They also have a very comfortable yet performance oriented ride. Definitely worth the $35 or so more. $35 shouldn't even be a question to ask yourself on something like that. If it was $350 I could understand.

He said he was jobless tho so $35 is a lot to him. Nah nah all jokes aside i agree... $35 isnt really that much a difference and u can get a whole lot more w/ that amount so just pay that extra. You'll be glad u did with the extra quality and ride comfort.

Thanks alot I just finished sending the rest of the money away to Japan for my car so im VERY broke right now. I have like 90 dollars toward those 200 springs. Sad huh ?
