Re: Cheap HP (and i mean cheap)
if you really want some power and really dont have money you could always say goodbye to mister A/C condenser and his friends. dont know if you have to worry about a warranty or anything, but i took mine out, made the whole car run better. cruisin down the road at fifty with the ttops off is enough air conditioning for me...

well, this topic has been posted a zillion times but here we go again.
some good and cheap mods: 1. get a Cold air intake, or better yet, make one yourself. (very cheap) 2. throttle body bypass mod (free mod) 3. get a better thermostat that runs 160degrees (also pretty cheap) 4. learn how to drive your car better and launch better. (this is probably better than any mod you can do) |

not sure how it'll sound, but if you want a free flowing exhaust, you can just gut the cat converter and/or hack your muffler off behind the axle...

Re: Cheap HP (and i mean cheap)
bottom line of this topic is that unless you can manufacture parts yourself, you are gonna have to spend money to get any kindof gains that are worth the work...

Re: Cheap HP (and i mean cheap)
well a blower is definately not a cheap HP mod, but an alternative...find somebody to stuff under the hood and they can blow really hard into the air intake, it's like cheap forced induction.

The simplest mod is to lighten it up. Take out anything that you don't need. If you do any upgrades, use the lightest parts possible. The best part is this mod is free.

Well if you have a 700R4 transmission, you can put a corvette servo in your tranny. What it does is increases pressure on your band to decrease slippage and it dramatically increases power. They only cost $15 on www.ebay.com and those are usually brand new. I can say from experience that they give you a crap load of power and I would say its probably the biggest power boost gain for the cheapest money you can buy for a camaro.
