1989 S10 pickup Instrument Cluster

The instrument cluster lights intermittently flashed off until a few days ago when they went off completely. Prior to that the odometer portion had been out. For awhile jarring the dash would make them flash on but no longer. Any ideas?

You failed to mention if you had the electronic dash...However I will assume it is. The electronic dash put in many of the "S" series truck had problems with the power supply heating up and breaking some of the soldered connections. I have repaired many of these simply by removing the power supply and resoldering all of the connection. It is a small board about 2" by 3" if I recall correctly. Make sure you use a good grade of solder and be careful not to overheat anything.

Good Luck!
