difference between 454 and 455
Is there any major difference between the chevy 454 and the pontiac 455, and lt4 and lt5?

454 and 455, would be easier to list the similarities, they are completely different engines, 454 was a chevy big block, 455 was a pontiac, buick, olds engine that was different in every respect. or at least 98% of them.
the same goes for an LT4 and an LT5. the LT4 is a glorified LT1, diff intake, cam and heads. but still a standard OHV small block, nothin too special. the LT5 is a dual overhead cam 32V Lotus designed V8. far more complex, not for an average grease monkey to try and retro fit under the shade of a tree if you get my meaning.

Hell there where major differences between the Buick 455, The pontiac 455 and the olds 455. if you really want I can find out the differences. But im in between class rightnow and I don't have the time to get them.
