PICS: got new rims!! and need help on taillight decision
i just bought a set of 18" racing hart T6s. check them out on my car. i got them for 500 bucks, and the guy included a set of OEM prelude tails cause he knew i was in the middle of my conversion.
![]() ![]() set of 3rd gen prelude wheels i will use for racing. ![]() ![]() and yeah yeah yeah, i realize i should finish the bodywork before i start playing with stuff like rims, but it was a deal i couldnt pass up. now onto the question. heres the shots of the taillight conversion in progress. i already modified the carbon fiber altezzas to fit in the hatch, thats why they fit better and the hatch closes. i just got the OEMs and stuck them in there for a comparison, what do you guys think? ![]() ![]()

Re: PICS: got new rims!! and need help on taillight decision
have you seen 3rd gen tails on a civic? or are you just sayin? cause both sets im toying with are 5th gen prelude tails....
and the 18s are only going to be for car shows and my car club meets. not everyday, or racing.

Re: PICS: got new rims!! and need help on taillight decision
i like hte rims, lots of white goin on with your car, i like
![]() i kinda like hte OEM tails better, its more of an apparent difference from regular 4th gen civic ones than the altezzas, plus i think they would look better with a white car than carbon fiber tezzas.

Its hard to tell in those pictures which one looks better but i love the way the oem lude tails look on our cars, i want to do it to mine so bad. So i guess the oem's get my vote tonight.

Re: PICS: got new rims!! and need help on taillight decision
the OEM prelude tails are fuckin DOPE. that shit is makin me hella jealous.
how hard was it to get them in there ? how much filler did u need to use ? u said u had to mod the tails themselves too? do u have any detailed pics? ive wanted to put those prelude tails on my hatch since i first saw the conversion done.. its so beautiful.. i especially like how the shape of the prelude tails compliments the shape of the 4g civic headlights ... (the slants on the inside) |

Re: PICS: got new rims!! and need help on taillight decision
yeah, thanks for the comments guys, ive decided to use the CF housing ones to test fit, and to finish the molding job, so i dont accidently get fiberglass on the OEM ones. then ones its all painted, the OEM ones will go on there

Re: PICS: got new rims!! and need help on taillight decision
yeah i was actually thinking the same thing. by the time im finished, CF and black housing headlights and recaro seats are gonna be played out. and then some other styling that isnt so "JDM" will be in.....
screw it, i like it more this way anyway
