The B16 has more horsepower, but less torque. What are the plans for this motor?

Like someone on here said earlier, that is like trying to prove God exist, you just cna't say. For those two motors it's going to be personal preference. Stock for stock the B16A is the better, faster motor, but with a few mods the B18B1 can be made into a power house too.

well he can get an b18b1 for 1700 installed and a b16a2 for 2700 installed so if he got a b18b1 couldnt he make the b18 just as fast or faster? if he just through on some skunk2 stage1 cams or somethin like that. and he's keeping it n/a no n20 either.
but just stock v.s stock with skunk2 stage1 cams on the ls. who do you think would win 1/4?

Here is one reference... http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...0Engines&hit=5 Thing is the LS/GS/RS motors have become popular, and as a result prices have risen. And yes, there are cams for non vtec motors.

A b18b1 shouldnt cost more than $1000 and crower makes non-vtec cams.
