Starter?

95 cav. 2.3 L
when I turn the car over initially it sounds like it is a high rev, then i stop and do it again, and it turns over usually, but sometimes it takes 2-3 times.
I would assume its the starter?

you nailed it. replace the starter and it'll start like new!!
