tropper running on 3 cylinders

Has anyone come accross 3.0 ltr diesel turbo engines running on three cylinders and smoking excessively. We have changed the cylinder head put the problem was no better than before. Any help would be gratefull.

Have you done a comperssion test , you have stuck rings.

yes and there ok. it's worse when you put water in than without.

ck the injectors, the one for that cyl. could be blocked.

Assuming it's an OHC engine, make sure you have the valve timing set properly after the cylinder head R/R.
