Help...Mounting screws for Alpine CVA1004 don't fit...Do I need other screws?

I purchased a Alpine CVA1004 monitor off of ebay. It works flawlessly but did not come with the sleeve or the mounting screws. I went to my local Alpine dealer not once, but twice (it is an hour drive away). I got the sleeve and the mounting screws for the side peices that screw onto the monitor. I didn't check the screws before I left the store and they were way to big. I went back and they told me they gave me alpine screws. So, I went to another dealer looking for screws and they gave me the same ones. I told them to try and mount them for me and they told me that they didn't have to because they knew that they would work because they were alpine screws.

The manual says M4x5 screws. Can anyone shed some light on my situation? I want this installed and I am driving all over the country getting told the wrong thing.

go to a hardware store and get the size that is needed if it tells you the size in the manual.

fo real...no need in driving across the country and whatnot...Lowe's and similar store has about every screw you could think of
