some spirited driving
Well, i was coming home yesterday after rock climbing with my g/f, (and i seriously love the part of scottsdale she lives in, the speed limit is like 55 for a main road). well i'm driving along doing like 60, and right as i'm slowly going past a truck this black corvette (C5 coupe) gets right on my ass. i'm like, "shit... must speed up to let him by" so i do and as soon as there's a gap he downshifts and just rockets next to me and then flies by... closely followed by a black 911. not sure if it ever passed the corvette, they were gone by the time we got to the top of the next little hill...
so yes, it was exciting though i didn't do any actual racing. maybe if i had been in the mr2 i would have tried to keep up. but yes, OMG *drool* at the sound of a new corvette winding out a gear...
