The new civics arent bad. Im growing fond of the hatchbacks although I hate the SI shifter its a pretty zippy car. I havent driven any other models but I have ridden in an 03 Ex and I wasn't impressed.

Re: is the civic 2004 ex worth it?
Go for a mid to late 90s. They are cheap and easy to get performance parts for.

Re: is the civic 2004 ex worth it?
I hope you're not getting a Civic because u think they're fast...cuz they aren't...at least the SOHC Civics aren't. Of course you could do whatever you want to them to make it fast...but it's not worth it in a Civic.
In my opinion...if it's not a DOHC Civic...it's gay. Unless they aren't trying to make it fast. There's a girl at my school who has a Civic Ex and she slapped all these 'SOHC VTEC' stickers all over it. It's got a fat wing and body kit and all that shit. She has a nice lil automatic shift knob too.

You have to put Hondas in a certain class in order for them to be considered "fast". STOCK(sohc vtec and dohc engines) hondas are quick grocery getting, comfortable ridding, good gas mileage getting cars. Compaired to an M or an RX-7 then no... they aint fast.
