JDM and EDM
ok heres the thing, what is the different between JDM and EDM sols, why you guys in U.S. love the JDM so much?
my friend has a JDM SiR sol with transtop, I have a EDM VTi with transtop first thing thats different is from honda qoute, JDM SiR is 160bhp n EDM VTi is 170bhp, how that be I dunno cos they both are B16A2 engine, ask honda  2nd thing, I have Glass Headlight and he has plastic, so mines better! 3nd EDM has rear fog light and JDM hasn't! 4th JDM has A/c but EDM doesn't, but A/c eats HP....!!!besides, its a transtop anyway what you want A/c for??? 5th JDM only has kph on the dials and EDM has both 6th JDM is lock to 180kph and EDM isn't lock to any speed at all, just rev it out to the rev limiter last thing I can find different is that I have ABS and he hasn't apart from those things I can't see much different, both RHD.... anyone with any opinion or idea bout this?? should I sell my sol as I am needing a change but really love this car

differences in horsepower are because of gas octanes..
JDM/EDM stuff is a trend.. it's something we didn't get, so it started as a few people got some JDM stuff to make their cars stand out, but now everyone wants JDM/EDM crap. As for selling, put the car on ebay and I guarantee you that some American kid with WAY too much money will buy it for an insane amount.

Like Emily said - JDM/EDM stuff is more or less a fad. It'll stay around, but may not be as hyped in the future. People tend to get tired of things and a lot of it is for show cars anyway to stand out.
There were a few things that were better in the JDM/EDM market that the USDM market didn't get, so a few items are worth converting to its JDM/EDM counterpart.

the JDM SiR dont have 160hp. Its got 170 the same as the EG SiR Civics.
The only countries to get 160hp del sols were New Zealand (although theyre really rare), Australia and America. Dont think that many other places had their own specific models
