Re: 91 blazer with hood that does not open

the cable more than likely came unhooked I had it happen to me on the same vehicle it is kind of a pain to get it open but sometimes you can stick a screwdriver inbetween the hood and the grill to open it you just push a little loop like piece towards the drivers side and click it opens or you can try to reach up between the grill and radiator and do the same good luck.

Might have someone push down on the hood while you try to release it, might be in a bind.

Re: 91 blazer with hood that does not open

Can you feel/hear something move when you pull the hood release? If so, drive around for awhile and then it should open. Once you have it open look up at the lip of the hood & you'll see the catch. It will have two bolts holding it to the hood, loosen those and move it a bit either forwards or backwards, just about a quarter inch should do.
