OMG HEEEELPPP, computer and Half-life related...as well as windows ME
Alright, i try to install HL to my comp with ME on it, and i get the error "Isset_se". I searched for it on Sierra's site and it said that it that it indicated a corrupt install, and to refer to article #001004-000228 but i have no idea where to look for that (i searched help, and microsoft's site). I tried sending an e-mail to Microsoft for help, but since ME was put on this computer through another company, they say i have to go to the other company for help, and i can't get ahold of them, i would have to drivfe 30 minutes to get help. WHAT IS GOING ON????
I tried rebooting the comp then trying, i also downloaded the newest version of DirectX just in case, nothing worked. WTF?

Also, i could avoid this if anyone knew where on the net i could just download a full version (not off a warez site) of Half-life, since i have the CD Key from the game just bought i could just download the game and then use the key.

You could try installing in safe mode for one. If I have problems with an install, thats what I do. Also, you are not going to find a game like that on a site for free, unless it is either a warez site, or a private FTP. Myself, I have it on my FTP if you want.

Well, i guess i could try to install with safe mode and i'll post back in a few minutes to let you know if it works. If it doesn't, i am dying to play CS (after i get HL working i am all good) and i don't wanna wait like 3 days for a response from a company, is it ok if i PM you about your FTP? Thanks.

Thanks for the help. I reset in safe mode, but remember afterwards that the comp won't read either of my CD drives, so i had to reset in normal, copy all the files to the hard drive, then reset in safe mode. After that it installed
