For the life of me, I can't take the old bulb out to put the new one in. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks. |

get a small rag and place it over the back of the bulb, then (very carefully!) take a channellocks or a pliers and turn the bulb... it probably just got hot and the rubber o-ring gasket doesn't want to let loose... its what happened on my integra, thats how i got it out.

Re: Replacing headlight bulb in 97' Civic
Unplug the little black plug from the back, then pull off the rubber cover. You'll see a metal paperclip-looking thing holding it in place. You have to push on it, then push up, and it should swivel away from the bulb. Pull the bulb out and put the new one in in reverse directions.

I had the same problem at first, but with a bit of work it's pretty easy.
The hardest part for me was pulling the connector off, on the drivers side I accidentally bent one of the prongs on the old bulb, but I wasn't using it anymore so I didn't care. Wish I left one of the stock bulbs in so I could compare though. I put in 2 new Eurolite fusions and I didn't notice too much of a difference, but then again I never really make a habit of staring into my headlights. |
