1993 k1500 no reverse lights

I just bought a 1993 k1500 it runs great with no problems as of yet, except the reverse lights won't stay on when in that gear. I have to hold the shift lever slightly up and they will stay on. Any ideas?

I have the same problem on my 92 K1500. If anyone knows how to check/adjust this please let us know. Thanks!

Sounds like the B/u light switch is faulty. It is located on left side tranny, sitting in seat.
it isn't very hard to change. it screws into the side of tranny

I have an automatic transmission. I know the switch is in the steering column. Is it hard to get out or hard to adjust? Thanks!

So sorry, guess I didn't have enough info.

my old chevy is a 93 5 speed std and when I have to change switches on the steering collumn I just remove the plastic below the colloum and remove the 2 bolts holding it to the dash and thats when the blood starts to seep as I try to fit my big hands into that area.... good luck!!
