i had to scratch build the entire stance the only thing that came with the kit are the axels them selves everything else is scratch. most revell lowriders come with differnt stances to chose from this one is stock or low and thats it. and i wanted a 3 wheel stance.

i am trying to make this look like it is a lowrider someone on a very small budget has built so not much chrome or flashy colors, right now the bumpers have been glued to the body and are being held on with tamiya masking tape it is pretty much complete exept for i have to chose an engine, what kind of engine should i put in a lowrider a stock one with chrome or a modifyed fule injected 427? it also has a modified exaust because i had to mod the suspention so much there was no room for the stock so i cut off the pipe from the muffler back and glued the stock tips stright to the muffler. pics tommarow.

Re: contest entry: 65 impala 3 wheelin

If you raise the rear left side of the axle it will make the 3 wheel higher. Engine-wise you can put in anything you want, but not many Lowriders have high performance engines.
It looks really nice in that colour, and with some whitewalls and white interior it will really get off!

i painted the inerior whitewith silver detials, i will go with a stock engine with some chrome valve covers. i am pretty pleased with the hight, it was my first time modifying suspention's so i am not going to fidel with this one. i bought this kit thinking it whould have optional suspention position's. when it did not i was kinda mad but then i said hmm i can just modify it. it also has an amp and two 6x9's in the rear window along with one of those bass tubes that come with the amt 67 impala. i was going to buy some hoppin hydro's wheels for it but saw the new revell ssr and opted for it unsted. i have been pretty hooked on lowriders all my life and back when i started modelling all i built was lowlow's and then moved to imports but now i think i might start doing lowriders agian, since i enjoyed this kit so much.

Re: contest entry: 65 impala 3 wheelin

Good to hear, yeah the only Monogram kits that come with lowrider stuff are the ones that actually have a lowrider on them, like the 59 Impala and the 60 Impala.

just test fitted the 427 and it fits but the hood wont shut so i will look for something with lots of chrome, also i am gonna maskoff the top of the hood and spray it with some really good chrome paint i found you can see your self in this stuff. the hood opens to the side so it will reflect the engine.
