VN Engine Problem

Can anyone give me advise apart from the obvious, My engine light came on when started and ran really bad found out i had done a valve and cracked head but now that it is fixed the engine light keeps coming on and then goes off but while on she stalls, baulks and runs really rough and high idle, but then when the engine light goes out she runs purrs like a kitten, pretty sure it is electical but dont want to pay out a shit load if it is some thing that is easily fixed. Please help.

vn engine problem

Thanks for your advice since i last posted i have done several things to my engine such as replaced the computer, the coil pack and the crank angle sensor and yet even though the computer is coding 12 ( satisfactory operation) i am not getting any spark now from 3 & 6 at all, 2 & 5 have very minimal and 1 & 4 are great. I am still waiting for an auto electrician to look at it but it may still be a week or two as they are all busy. Computer light is no longer on since i replaced computer.

Unhappy Re: VN Engine Problem

How are you all!
I have a VN Commodore and my car runs very ruff, low and high revs, all over the place. When reversing then putting it in drive she wants to stall. Ive fixed the head gasket on it and that was not the problem.
Im new to this site, if any answers or help my e-mail is [email protected].
Any type of help is needed at this point of time.

Re: VN Engine Problem

Levdi: Sounds like a leaking inlet manifold gasket or the injectors are blocked.

Re: VN Engine Problem

Sounds to me that its the crank angle sensor which is located just behind the harmonic balance (the bottem pulley that ya fan belt goes around) to insure this is the problem when she stalls just pour cold water all over that sensor then fire her back up if it purrs thats the problem. the crank angle sensor will set you back $70 + another say $30-$40 for labour hope this helps you out see ya!!!
