SR20DET Installation Service
I am currently in the process of buying a 240sx in order to swap in the SR20DET engine. I live in Texas and was wondering if anyone knew of any shops in Texas that did the swap.I would do it myself but don't have the time. Oh yeah, I want the S-13 SR20DET. I would also like to know if anyone knew a shop that did the Strawberry face conversion (I think that's what it's called).

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. How good are the aftermarket modification parts? Can someone give me the relation of money cost to hp gain in the SR20?

hey man i feel your pain, i live in tx too and i have know idea who does swaps around here, isnt there a place in san antonio though?? someone answer this question for this both of us, lol

I'm not really sure of exact places in Texas but I know http://www.projectnissan.com/index.htm is out of Dallas so you may want to shoot them an e-mail. They're pretty well known in the 240 community and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.

There is a shop by my house that does the swaps, or so they said. I asked them and they said they would charge me 600 for the swap if I had everything included. I really don't know how well these people install the motors so I'm skeptical about it.

the only place i know of in dallas is cartune texas, and personally ive seen some swaps they did and well i would never have them do it.
have you considered doing it yourself? its not that hard and a lot of people who have never done a swap before have gotten through it just fine, unless your a total idiot, i think its doable lol

The only thing is that I really don't have that much time with school and all. Maybe if I did it during the summer. I was trying to look for a shop to do it soon, but one that didn't charge that much. I also need help from a couple of people, and dont' really have it.
