Whining noise in drivetrain

Hi all. I've had my Xb for about a month and have only about 700mi on it. I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed a whining noise that I think comes from the transaxle. My Xb has a 5sp trans. This noise isn't bad and hasn't gotten any worse since I got the car. It's not even really bothersome. I am just wondering if it's normal or if I should have the dealer evaluate it? If anybody else has noticed this noise please let me know.

It is a new car...have the dealer check it out. I test drove one (an auto) and it seemed to run pretty good, with a radio that I had trouble figuring out.

How do you like the car???

A manual shifter will have a little more noise than an auto.If it bothers you definately have the dealer look at it.
