87 buick lesabre running rough and missing

the car will run ok then all of a sudden mis bad, sometimes it stalls. when you are going down the road and try to give it gas it misses real bad and backfires like it is loading up .i have changed the altenator, fuel fillter, plugs, and wires. i have checked the fuel pump and egr. i have also ran injector cleaner and octane booster and 93 octane gas in it

I have the same thing, but have changed the cam posisition sensor ,

I have a code 34.....any one know what this is?

if you have it on your car, change the pcv filter if its clogged, your engine witll run rough from the vacuum drop my 85 did the same thing and it ran alot better when i changed it

Would a faulty PCV Valve cause the EGR to not function properly?

...Probably not... the EGR works off of manifold vacuum while the pcv runs off of air cleaner/carb vacuum

Code 34 = Mass Airflow Sensor. Also check the ignition coils.
