Security System Help

Hi, I recently purchased a Crimestopper 2002 Car Alarm/Keyless Entry System for my 1996 Honda Accord Lx, but I am having trouble finding some of the wires. I was able to find the Ignition harness easily, and think I can tap into the wire behind the radio coming from the passenger door to get the door lock/unlock wires, but I cannot find the door trigger wires or the emergency flashers.

I figured I could just tap into the wire above the radio where the emergancy flasher button is but there are about a dozen wires going into the connector at that switch.

On the door trigger wires, I am not sure how to wire it so that it serves a purpose too the alarm. In the car the doors triggers don't seem to ever join into one. The dash display tells me which door is open do I assume that they are separte all through the car.

ANY help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

As for the door trigger, what purpose does it server to the alarm? Is it even nessessary to hook that up. Also, in my Accord there is a trigger for each door I guess, because the display can tell me exactly which door is open. Will this cause a problem?

ANY help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Dude, your questions seem to make you very incompentant to do this type of install. If I were you, I'd pay to have this done. I mean why would you hook into the emergency flashers unless you want to control the hazards from your remote control. Door trigger, you don't seem to understand even what that is all about. If you do not hook up those wires, you could then open the doors with out the alarm ever going off. What good would that do if you are installing an alarm? Well, here you go anyways. Oh, please either solder or t-tap your wire connections!!!

12volts white + ignition harness
Starter black/white + ignition harness
Ignition black/yellow + ignition harness
Power Lock black/white - gray conn. above fuse
Power Unlock orange - box in blue tape
Parking Lights+ red/black blue plug fuse box
Notes: Also a male blade terminal is available in the fusebox DKP.
Parking Lights-
Door Trigger blk/wht - gray plug right of column
Dome Supervision use door trigger
Trunk/Hatch Pin orange - gray plug right of column
Horn Trigger blu/red or grn/blu - steering column

I AM SURE THIS INFORMATION JUST BRINGS EVEN MORE QUESTIONS TO YOU. JUST MAKE SURE TO TEST ALL WIRES WITH A VOLTMETER BEFORE HACKING UP YOUR CAR. GOOD LUCK.

Re: Security System Help

"your questions seem to make you very incompentant to do this type of install" <Ill agree here, I probably shouldn't be doing this as I have never worked with a cars electrical system (Other than audio), but I am too cheap to pay someone to do what I could eventually get done myself and I am very stubborn.

I figured if I used the emergancy flashers it would save me the trouble of trying to find the other lights. (This is why I ask dumb questions before I try something that probably wont work).

When I reread my post, I screwed it up. I didn't mean to ask what the door triggers were for. What I meant to ask was, since the car doesn't seem to join the door triggers togeather (since the display has a light for each door when it is open), how am i going to wire this up so it detects them all. Wont it make the door trigger be pointless if I only wire it up to one door?

I am using a voltmeter, but when there are 50 orange wires under the steering column, it is easier to ask people so I have at least the right area. Yes, I plan to solder the connections. Though, I am kind of wondering what you think I might do but shouldn't that you even needed to say that, lol. Guess I seem more like an idiot with no clue in my posts than I realize.

Thanks for the help with the wire locations.

I now understand your question on the door trigger. THat's why you use the wire I stated. THey are all tied in together.
