Re: Anyone know about...

look them up, they exist. they're crazy. 15a is a bigger rotor rotary, same with 21a. i think the 15 is a 2 rotor, and i'm not sure about the 21a. the 13g is a 3 rotor, but i don't know each rotor displacement.... yeah.. it's crazy. there's also a 6 rotor rotary engine out there somewhere, but it used very tiny rotors i'm pretty sure.

Re: Anyone know about...

Mazda never produced anything like that. They might be aftermarket motors...

OOOOOOOO yes they did. Here is a website I found just searching around. It didnt work for my friend but it did for me. If you go to the bottom of the page he has info on ALL (I think) the rotary motors (including test/experimentals).

Re: Anyone know about...

The majority of those are racing/prototype motors. Good luck getting a hold of one!

Re: Anyone know about...

His point was that mazda did produce the motors. They were not aftermarket motors, rather one offs. But Mazda still produced the engines.

Mazda also had a miniproduction of the R26B (no not nissans RB26DETT) This was a four rotor config used in the '91 leman's race , the engine was mated to a porsche 5 speed tranny i believe. 600h.p / 300lb/ft. tq all n/a. I have been looking for this engine for a while, rumor has it that some where rebuilt and put into a couple baja race boats. but i havent seen any trace of their existance outside of the rumors.....maybe ill have to build my own.....

Re: Anyone know about...

there were only two R26B engines made, there was no miniproduction. Well they probably had more than one for each race car, but they were purely race engines, and have never been available to consumers

there was a R26B engine used in the Lemans 787B racer back in 91 and it was 654cc x 4 rotors=2616cc with 700hp and 448 torque

then another R26B was used in the RX-792P in the USA's IMSA GTP series. it was lower in power, 650hp 420lbft

although I don't know if either were turbo or not, never have found that out for sure. but from pictures I've seen, it seems like they are both non-turbo

I believe the 20B was the engine used in race boats, I could be wrong though.

heres a site about the engine
http://www.mymazdarotary.com/mazda_r...paper_html.htm
and heres another
http://mazda.a-spec.ca/
I don't see how those were very hard to find

EDIT: Also something interesting to me was that they used 3 spark plugs per rotor, the extra plug was called a late-trailing I believe, it talks about that on the sites I listed if you want to know more about it

Re: Anyone know about...

Yeah, they were both non turbo. They used the telescopic intake manifold that was pretty *ucking neat too.
