JDM EF8 CRX question

I was wondering about putting a B16A into a 1988 JDM CRX. I might be getting one. It's a 1.5X (1.5L SOHC dual carb), and I want to know if the B16A will bolt right up - it didn't come until the 1989 CRX SiR, is that right? Will it fit in without much hassle?

Haha!

NO its not an easy swap. The EF8, (and EF9) use differnt frount subframes with completly differnt engine mounts etc. The whole frount part of the shell is also differnt to hold the differnt subframe.

For the cost of buying custom mounts from the states, or building your own you could buy an EF8. Which will also give you the bigger brakes, tuned suspension etc etc......

hey moppie, can you find out how much stock Honda shift linkages are for the JDM CRX SIR? It would be helpful if you can convert it to US currency for me, thanks...

Send me an email and I'll add it to my list. [email protected]
