c5 corvette supercharger ?

if you put a supercharger on a c5 vette do you have to raise the hood or can you get a supercharger that hides beside the engine instead on the top ? and same with c4 body

roots and screw type superchargers require hood modifications on both models, mostly because they replace the stock intake manifold. centrifigul superchargers however can be positioned so that the hood clearance isnt affected. they pretty much operate like a belt driven turbocharger, sans wastegate, blowoff valve etc. anyway you go, tuning is required, but 400+ streetable horses or more arent too far away with a centrifigul supercharger. check out vortech or ati superchargers for more on cetrifigul, roots is pretty much weiland/holley brand, and magna for screw superchargers
