Best 1/8 mile time

Hi, yesterday i went to the RaceWay (1/8 mile) and my best time was 9.406sec at 76.65mph with a reaction time of +.193 and 60ft 2.335, but my timings went from 9.406 to 9.736 sec, (a lot of difference ), the heater was on, the front psi tires at 26, i have the stock PCM and i launch it at 2500RPM in 2nd. At what RPMS i need to lunch to improve the 1/8 mile time?. I've been removed the TB Screen, i have autolite 104's gap at .50, k&n air filter, and others little mods.

Thanx.

Re: Best 1/8 mile time

I would launch from idle not 2500rpm. I didnt start launching at 2000rpms till I put a cam in the car.

Try a lower tire pressure next time and see if that helps. Put as much PSI in the rear that the tire can handle.

Your 1/8 mile run converts to a 14.6 1/4 mile

Good reaction time, but need work on those 60's. Launching at idle will probably help with those.
