passenger side mirror
First of all, hi you all guys
... this is my first post here!I've some questions for you. I got a 1990 Civic DX HatchBack, I'm looking for a passenger side mirror. There are some aftermarket ones (like CIPA) for sale on line for as low as $20... are those any good? I wanted to buy an original used one... but the junkyard guy asked me $45 for it! is it a fair price? If not, what would be a reasonable price? Thanks!! ![]() GiNo |

Welcome to AF!!
Let's see... I got my passenger side mirror off a 4-door (which doesn't fit perfect), and I paid about $20. My buddy just got a mirror off a hatch (for his hatch) for about the same price. Personally, I'd just surf the 'net for a stock passenger mirror. The only aftermarket mirrors that I've seen worth buying are about $300. Try http://www.partsadventure.com I got my dash clock & GSR console from them. They have all kinds of 4g parts for decent prices. |

Check eBay. I was all over that site for most of the morning & saw at least a dozen stock passenger side mirrors - about half of 'em were less than $20. Quote:

Re: passenger side mirror
CRX and Hatchback mirrors are the same. My friends crx mirror and my red hatch mirrors are the same part numbers. My blue civic however, has 4 door mirrors on it. Only 2 screws lined up for me, but it is on tight.

I had to dremel out the screw holes a little bit to get my 4dr mirrors to bolt up. The only part that doesn't fit *right* is the inner plastic trim piece, but I'm the only one that notices... The mirror doesn't leak any water & that was my only concern.

ya 45 sounds really expensive for that, specially used, I would think more like 20 would be ther area in what you should expect to pay. Was the junkyard a U-Pull or did they pull the part for you? |

Re: passenger side mirror
It was 45 U-Pull... otherwise they wanted 55! I guess they tried to trick me...

Re: passenger side mirror
i put a CRX one on my sisters hatchback, and ill say this, it doesnt fit perfectly. the trim piece on the outside doesnt line up all the way, but it does bolt up fine. would never do it for my show car, but its good enough for her car.
