THE? german? what you makes you so special... I'm German too. j/k
There is a difference, type r has more hp, LSD, only certain options and colors, more expensive etc. etc. Check the FAQ above this in this forum, it should have more details for you

Type R is more advanced teg than GSR but GSR is also a great car...they both used to be expensive.....Type R used to be like 24K? and GSR used to around 22K......hard to get clean title type R because most of the ITRs have been jacked/crashed/etc....maybe not....

check the FAQ.....it will help you out.....

If its a really good deal($$$) on the type r then yea, most likely a theft recovery. Ive seen a good amount of clean ones though.

The R has a different intake and exhaust manifold, different port characteristics, different valvetrain, and pistons. The Type R tranny(Y2) has an LSD, and shorter gears(2nd-5th) with the same final has the GSR but the R has extra rpm's to keep the gear speeds at redline about the same.

Type R's have a bad ass suspension set up too. And the main difference between the two is the B18c5 and the B18c1. 35 more ponies in the type R and a ground effects package.
