Re: intercooler
You could run water injection. You can put together your own system for under 150 bucks or go w/ a Aquamist system for around 300+
Other than that ZZP has the cheapest intercooler out. |

Re: intercooler
You can place the nozzle after the throttle body or after the blower inside the intake manifold.
http://users.frii.com/maphill/wi.html http://www.dawesdevices.com/howto.html If you can find last months issue of High Performance Pontiac they had a very good article w/ part numbers |

Re: Re: intercooler
What are the downsides or limitations to having a water injection system?
Ripn12s do you know of anyone using a water injection system running 12s? Thanks. |

Re: intercooler
Water injection eats away at the coating on the blower rotors.
Dont know of any real bad things besided that, if done wrong you could HYDROlock the motor. It is also like Nitrous in that you can run out. I plan on just using the windshield washer bottle. I know there is atleast a few guys. I can remember there names but they have answered my questions before. Try a search on clubgp for water injection |

Re: intercooler
People, I know this is an alternative to the intercooler but checking Ripn12s links is better to save some money and get the intercooler. The cheapest one at http://www.zzperformance.com is better than injecting water into the intake. Would decrease KR on the short term but at the expense of having a SC coating problem later. Would be more cost effective to get the intercooler than screwing up the S/C or hydrolocking the engine if doing this incorrectly. This looks kinda risky for me.
Ripn12s or Jeff can any of you please post the link to the clubgp related to the water injector? Thanks

Re: intercooler
Guys, I will post a block diagram of something that hit me when reading ripn12s posts for an inexpensive intercooler that will not harm the SC. Already found the machine shop that would do the tricky part for me the rest is off the shelf parts. I will show you later tonight. If it makes sense to you then I will have it done in 2 weeks and would be a real working intercooler.
