interior lights

Hey, I think I blew something when wiring the remote start. Now when I open the drivers door, the lights inside don't go on. I couldn't find any blown fuses in the boxes. The lights work fine for all the other doors and still work when I use the keyless entry. Any suggestions?

What year of truck? Most of the newer trucks use the BCM to control the lights. Most of the time the installer of the RS or keyless entry take short cuts and burn up the BCM. Are you sure the light do not work from either door or how about the switch on the dash?

Re: interior lights

Its a 2003 Ram. the lights work fine when opening all the other doors but not the drivers door. The switch on the dash works too. Maybe they burned up a wire on the door switch? What is the "B" for in the BCM control module

B= Body. Now, they might might have cut a wire some how? The lights are dependant on the door triggers which are inside the lock mechanism in the door handles. The LF door trigger is tan, and the LR door is tan/orange or purple/orange. These wires are in the driver kick panel. The RF door trigger is tan/red, and the RR door is tan/yellow. These wires are in the passenger kick panel.
