Drives side door will not open

Hello All,

My borther has a 1994 buick regal...the lock is stuck he puts the key in but he can't turn it. He has tried to get the panel off inside to get to see if he can fix it but the door needs open in order to do that. Any ideas????

is it cold where you live? has it snowed recently? The lock could be frozen.

Hypsi87 is right. Looks like your lock is frozen due to moisture in the lock cylinder. Put some lock de-icer and wiggle the key a few times till it comes loose. We had this problem, here in Ontario, Two weeks ago.
Good Luck.

Re: Drives side door will not open

Hey buddy i figured it out with dumb luck... it seems the solenoid sticks... messed my door up a bit taking it apart... try locking it manually then try the key.... i noticed if i press lock twice sometimes that works and it always works if i lock the drivers side door manually first and then press the power lock button.... try that out it will definately help remember the key will not turn the lock if u can not lock and unlock manually from the inside fiddle around till it does it properly from the inside and then try outside....
